I'm live in Everett WA. When I retired in 2009 I got my first bike since 1972 just to see if I would enjoy riding again. Bought a Trek 7.3 SX hybrid and put over 2500 mile on it last year so I guess I have been enjoying myself.
When I began riding I told my son I don't need a fancy bike and you wouldn't catch me dead with any of that spandex stuff on me. No need for CF bike. This aluminum bike is just fine. Well I've broken all those rules. This March I treated myself to a Specialized Roubaix Elite SL2 Apex to say I had a real road bike. Not that there was anything wrong with the Trek but I wanted something a little nicer. So far it has been a treat to ride. I'm looking forward to another nice season of riding if only it would stop raining and warm up.
