I can't believe Surly would make a seatpost that's not adjustable front-to-back. Either that or I can't figure out how to adjust the tilt.

What gives?

That's a Kalloy SP-248. If you loosen the bolt enough you can pivot the saddle on the radiused top of the post, therefore adjusting the tilt.

My Steamroller seatpost was stuck when I got it. If you loosen the bolt and push on it, you can probably unstick it. And then you can adjust tilt.

Oh! I see now. I originally thought the part on top of the post was welded on there, but then I looked at it again and it was just really ****ing stuck. Thanks a lot, men!

I've had several Kalloy posts of different styles (both the SP-248 radiused top version as well as the Lapadre style with indexed notches) get stuck after a while of using them. I usually just give the lower part of the clamp (the part that's stuck to the post) a little whack with a rubber mallet. Nothing to worry about.
