I purchased this for my daughter. Its been sitting in a dry basement for about 30 years or more the seller told me. Mechanically it is just fine. No dents or dings. Tires have a wee bit of cracking. Not too much. Just light surface rust.
- Anyone know what year it is?
- Anyone think its valuable? I planned on disassembly, cleaning and then repainting, but not to be period/model correct. She said, "just make it purple Dad!" so those were my plans.
Thanks for filling me in.

It's early to mid-1960s. List the serial number (left, rear axle-hanger or dropout) to pinpoint. I'd make it purple ... :)

Thanks Bob! Yes, purple is definately in its future. The other projects I've done, I used Rustoleum paints (rattle can) and then clear-coated with Rustoleum's "Crystal Clear" for durability. Seemed to do a nice job. Not quite as hard of a paint as lacquer of course, but find for this.
I see on ebay that I can get all new decal sets too! Sa-weet!

It's not really valuable as a collectable cycle, but certainly would make a great cruising-around cycle.
Here in Boston it would fetch $75 - $100 as-is.
