That has to be a joke, a historicaly relevant bike might be worth that.

That sir is no joke. 23 bids later and that pile of parts was sold for $2500 (plus $250 shipping). I watched it end, it jumped $1000 in the last 10 seconds.

It's the Hutch cranks on that Schwinn. VERY valuable. In the past Hutch 3pc cranks have sold for around $5000.
