I am always trying to look for a veledrome in my area. it fasinates me the whole idea of track cycling. i have only seen it on the internet. i think it would be a great expirence seeing it.

They're erecting a 'drome in Northampton. It should be done sometime in the not too distant future. www.valleydrome.org

Otherwise there's always Kissena down in NYC.

bostontrevor, where are you from. I live in southwest New Hampshie about 45 north of Northhampton. A group of riders are using a local 1/4 mile oval race track. We use fixed gears. We do it on wensday nights again in the spring. We have 2 or 3 guys coming up from the worster/boston area.

I'm in Boston (as you might guess). Where's the track? Is it actually a velodrome or just an oval track?

Oval track. There's no velodrome in NH yet.

velo is correct. it is a paved oval that has 12 deg. banking in the turns and is a 1/4 mile around( about 408 meters).
