I was just wondering what kind of paint schemes you guys have on your bikes. I was gonna paint mine dark grey frame and black parts, and I'm wondering what some other people think look good.

Chameleon.

You can get it at your local autoparts store. Its made by Dupli-color and comes in a 3 pack. 1 can is primer, 1 is the paint, and the last can is clear coat. its like $20-25.

yah its pretty hot. if you use gold pieces to like standard makes a gold stem and profile makes a gold sprocket it looks even better

i think this kind only changes 2 different color but i could be wrong. ive seen one bike that changed green and gold and my buddies bike changes purple and blue

best bet would be to go to the autoparts store and see what they got

i reckon that black frame and parts, spokes, hubs, bars, sprocket etc, and then chrome rims, crank, and stem looks tasty!

I have a brown bike with forest green handle bars and fork. Before that I had a custom white, black, and grey camo bike with all black parts.. it looked so nice. :) I like the grey with all black, sounds nice.. cream with all brown parts would be totally insane though.. in fact that would be amazing.

Before you apply the clear coat, find a dead animal and get some bone fragments and a hairy peice of flesh. glue to the frame somewhere (top tube near front is nice spot) then put some fake blood or blood colored nail polish let everything dry and clearcoat over that. F****g brutal.

Another twist on this (and a little less gory!) is to grind up some fish scales to make a metalflake paint job. Elvis supposidly had a car painted like this.

Umm other than decapitating animals ... its best to just stick with a normal color. painting anything other than your frame forks and handle bars gets really tricky and messy most times it really doesnt look good ... If you want to have the most kick ass bike same up some money and get it podwer coated black it will look so nice forever. Thats what I would have done if i wasnt watching the clock to get my bike painted. By the way i painted mine with simple spray paint just flat black in the front with red pin strips and the back fades to red it looks pretty cool but spray paint doesnt last too long.

all blac with purple bars and forks was my next thought.. all black with colored bars and forks looks great.. any colors.. even yellow would look rad.. or red, anything.

There's mine, the only difference is that I'm running an old, polished aluminum, Kink Raider stem now.

beerman i love your bike. (and your dog) :)
im gettin a grey WTP 4 seasons from my LBS and im tempted to paint the frame.
if i sand paint down, use primer, coat and clear, would this have sort-of identical look as if it were done in the factory?
