i just thought since there is a thread for "alt bike(s)" there should be a thread for works in progress. i will start with my project. since i put together a monstrous mountain bike i thought i would build a matching low rider. i am thinking about using front shocks and modifying the brakes to work with 20" tires. i was also thinking about adding a banana seat and using some handle bars to match.

i seen threads about individual peoples works in progress but i have not just seen a general thread where people can post pics of there works in progress. it could be cool to see how some bikes come to be what they are when they are done.

If you start a thread for your own bike, then the progress of your build doesn't get interrupted by the builds of others.

You've got a good start there. Can't wait to see how yours progresses.

Picked this up for cheap-then found a hole in the rim/bummer. Getting carried away with some spare parts. So far, so good.198164198165:thumb:

juls that is a pretty sweet ride. i like the old 10 speed bikes but i never have much luck with them. on average, i only spend about 2week a year driving my 10 speed before something breaks and becomes too much of a headache to fix till next year.

if i started a thread about my own bike it would die quick because i can be a bit slow working on my bikes. i always have too many projects on the go at any given time. you should see my xtracycle lol

198429Well, the city limit is done. Had to go back to the orig bars-as I couldn't get the thumbies anywhere on the drops that worked for me. (Yea, I'm cheap, actually broke) Looking to get a park tool and hopefully switch out the freewheel. It shifts but not smoothly. The bb height difference hasn't been a problem with handling at all.
