I'm trying to install 11 speed Athena on my bike and I'm 95% there. Only problem is, when I run the cable through the front shifter and to the front derailleur and try shifting the bike, nothing happens. Any thoughts?
it's like threading a needle, I think you might have missed the needle hole in the shifter itself. There's actually enough room for the cable to miss the shifter mechanism entirely while having the cable threaded in.
I did this, it was a hassle, but threading the cable on is easier when you can actually see where the cable is going. Which can be done by removing the lever from the bars.

Be sure to push the "mouse ear" multiple times to assure the shifter is in the lowest gear position before threading the cable through it. The shifter must be set in that position to orient the hole for the cable properly.

Brilliant! After an hour of messing with it last night, I threw in the towel and went to bed. Read this post this morning. This time, I got under the bike with a light and got it in the first try. A good night's rest works wonders. Thanks a lot AEO!
