So what did you get into now, Ruben? This sounds like it's gonna be a doozy.
...and there goes Rube' going to work on his last day before some well deserved time off, thinking about all the places he's gonna drive to and visit... when these flashing blue lights appear on my rear view mirror...
So it seems like the wonderful local County Clerks failed to enter into their databases that the ticket for my broken headlamp ($200 bucks by the way) was paid in full months ago. It also seems that when you write the word "same" on the "postal address" field of a change of address form, they assume you meant "yeah, same old PO box you have in your system", instead of "same as the new residential address that's written above". Therefore your new shiny license have your residential address on it but all mail notifications about your license being suspended for a clerical error go to Limbo.
Thanks God, Siu jinxing powers are not fully developed and as cops are returning to my car rubbing their shiny handcuffs, Rube finds the paid ticket in the glove compartment and the nasty "Driving with suspended license" offense gets downgraded to a lesser "Driving with suspended license *without knowledge*" citation and Rube is allowed to walk his sorry ass back home as a pissed off member of the free community.
My apologies to my road assistance service operator... it really wasn't the best day to point out that I only have two free towing services allowed per every 6 month period. I really don't think they are all *insert something bad here*, I was just having a bad day.
My most sincere thanks to the cities of Maitland, Winter Springs & Longwood for maintaining the beautiful network of biking trails that got me back home safely and relaxed, despite the ongoing issues.
Also let it be known that some new cheapo pay-less office shoes might not survive 15mi long hikes... just saying :notamused:
Now if you excuse mah I'm gonna place my feet on some hot water.
