I am in the military. I have been biking to work for over a month now and I intend to do so in the winter months too. However,I am getting disapproving remarks from colleagues who claim that it can't be done. I fear it will only be a matter of time before I am ordered to hang up my bike which I don't intend to without a fight. Does anyone know if I will be disobeying a lawful order by resisting?I live about 3 miles from work.

I can't speak for that. Maybe others in this forum can.
They are probably right...*they* probably can't commute. :D
Since they're watching... it's best to appear as organized/efficient as possible to your coworkers. Also keeping a low profile... like...Wet, muddy, piles of smelly, eye-sore colored clothes makes an easy target.
Maybe you can post their complaints and we'll try to help out.
