The cops in Cornvalley were like that when I was there.... I never rode a critical mass there, but they would bust people for just walking down the street. Or harrass you for drinking even if you were over 21. Bogus.

It is funny how all of the Oregon towns up and down the I5 have the classic cop/donut shop reputation. Yet the coast road 101 Is the crown jewel of biking routes. I have been there at least a dozen times.
