We all know what the best foods to eat during a stage race are, but most of us don't have a ton of time to prepare meals after racing and taking care of our bikes between stages (especially if there are modest commutes between stages).

What kind of quick food do you guys bring along? I know I'm a personnel fan of yogurt, salmon in a can, oatmeal and pasta. You?

I like to bring a bunch of cash (for Mexican food & pizza) to stage races, it packs much better than actual food.

What the OP said, but I like my salmon in the foil pouches, perfect size for a sammich. Also you can get rice in a microwave pouch, zap it 90 seconds. Black beans in a can. PBJ. Maybe some choco milk in the cooler if there's room.

These are various things I've taken to stage races aside from on-the-bike nutrition. All can be eaten without a microwave.

bagels/bread with peanut butter
fruit - bananas, apples, mangoes
leftovers - pasta, baked potatoes, etc
bag of mixed nuts or trail mix
canned tuna/salmon

+1. You can also add subway - all top favorites at collegiate weekends.

For USCF races, I tend to make my own food or bring along more of my own stuff as I am not trying to cram 6 people in a car made for 4 or 5.

Sweet Potatoes, Cottage Cheese, Clif Bars, and PB & Honey sandwiches. I can live for a week quite easily with that stuff.

last year at salida we brought an electric griddle and made an awesome egg and cheese and potato and bean scramble for breakfasts and it ruled.

the new foreman grills with the removeable hot plates so you can do waffles and stuff are totally clutch for out of town weekends.

and yeah PB&J

and like any half way decent town has a diner that makes an awesome breakfast burrito

+100. Half the fun of stage races is hanging out with your teammates at dinner afterwards.
