I run a P7 flashlight and I love it. It is an Ultrafire I believe and is a three mode 900 lumen unit.

I have a knog frog mounted with the LED under the handlebars. I may get the Blackburn Mars click, too.
I like a slow pulsing strobe, not the quick strobe that flashlights have. I have a terralux that has strobe which I can use but don't because of that.

My primary commuter has a Gemini light that has a pretty good blinky which I use during the daytime. My backup bike has the MS which the blinkie is not so useful. I supplemennt the MS with an Powerbeam blinky (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002HMRYBM/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00106M86M&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0BG3H33M2EX4XK9MMH5W). It is similar to this one except my is the older model. In one of my older Youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffSQXlqwCH4) of the MS taillight, I had that blinkie on my helmet with the MS900 on the handlebar. You can see the sample of the blinkie near the end of the video.

I also have a Cateye Opticube and it is not that bright but better than nothing. I used a P7 on strobe and it is very bright. It does not have side illumination but the brightness is enough to be eye catchiing from the side similar to the MS and Gemini.

I don't know that I ever used a front flasher, I really hate the on motorbikes. I did finally get around to mounting a Dynamo light I bought some time ago, this afternoon. I was suprised to find a flasher mounted in it. you can turn off the headlight but not the flasher.

Planet Bike Blaze, either 1W or 2W. They are killer bright as blinkies and I get drivers flashing their high beams at me during heavy overcast days when I run either of these in flash mode. They're bright enough to ride by too, in a pinch. They use 2AA batteries which last many hours in flash mode.

Cateye LD-150. Mounted on the front of my Acorn Handlebar Bag. With black tape forming a visor so the blink doesn't distract me. Great light.

Fenix L2D and MS, both on the handlebars.

Magicshine on medium bright constant (not blinking) (probably about 200 lumens) day and night. In adverse conditions, I flip on the P7 flashlight (400 or so lumens) on flash.

Tikka Xp Petzl headlamp w. strobe function or Dinotte 200. The Petzl is the best because it has a dispersing lens and I can rotate it up so it's not flashing straight into others eyes. Also it covers a larger area when I swivel my head around. Dinotte is good for maximum daytime flash forward but I usually use it for illumination at night with Petzl at night.

Any that could be mounted to the headtube without too much tinkering?

Dinotte 140L headlight with the rubberband mount on the handlebar in "strobe" mode. When I run it, it stops drivers from making left turns in front of me.

PB blaze-2W.

and an ontrack "glare" (decent, but nothing special) amber blinky when it's not bright daylight.

both mounted on the bars, on either side of the stem.

edit: why is there an exclamation mark on top of my text??

on my bike that's just too cluttered with cables to mess with. the cables would be a PITA to work around (clipping, unclipping, turning on/off), snag, and block the light. i'll just put everything on the bars, above the cables.

My avatar is my bike. I've got some real estate on the head tube that can be utilized. The FD, RD, and rear brake cables are all routed along the top of the top tube.
