Probably going to buy this frame, 2009's have a 1" headtube which will work w threaded vs the new ones with 1 1/8". Does anyone have a geo chart for the 2009's? Is it the same as the new ones? Looking for the length in a 57.

Also, does the headtube length have to match the steerer length of the fork exactly?
Looking at this fork
http://store.somafab.com/sothfo.html
it has 50mm of threads, so lets say I buy a 170 mm one and cut it to 150 to match the headtube length, will it work, or is that just completely ghetto?

Never dealt w/ matching fork stuff before...

the threaded steer tube has to be a little longer because the headset you choose will have a stack height you need to take into account and it needs threads to screw onto.

so for a 150mm headtube length, a 170mm steerer tube fork would probably be the right fit?

it depends on what headset you go with.

Most threaded headsets have a stack height over 30 mm, so for a 150 HT you'll need a steerer in the 180s.

i was hoping that someone was versed well enough on fit that they were concerned about head tube length.

The HT on my '08 is the same as in the '11 chart, as are the rest of the dimensions. The only difference is the 1 1/8 steerer. It's a safe bet that the '09 HT is the same as the '11.Get a 200mm steerer and cut it to lenght.
