Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. It is still snowing after snowing all last night. Must be about 8 inches outside right now.
Of course, the prediction on Sunday am was for an inch or less. Rural schools closing like crazy.
Interstate 25 is completely closed between Denver and Colorado Springs!

It was 70 degress yesterday so I went for a short bike ride and then a long hike. I got a bunch of pictures but can't post them here. It should be in the low 60's today, then it should turn more winter-like over the next couple weeks. I don't envy you poor suckers in ColoRADo.

I will trade your weather for mine! :D
Had to crank up the snowblower this am - 1st time this season.
With my AFib, I am trying not to stress too much.

I'm home from work cuz the power company didn't plan properly and a good chunk of the city is without power... including my work
Wow! Nice photos Denver! We don't have snow. We are expecting an aggressive front to move through here. High Wind Warnings are posted for the 24 hour period starting at midnight tonight. Gusts over 65MPH expected. I would gladly take 8 inches of snow over those winds. :(

We have some winds, also!
With temps of 28F and winds of 30 mph, it is frigging freezing out there!

if i remember my colorado weather correctly (it's been many years since i lived there) the temps will rise suddenly and all that snow will be a distant memory very soon.

Generally true. Sun is out right now doing its work.
But, another storm due Thursday.
This is not a bad storm, just the first one, which makes it seem bad.

I picked up 6" from the same storm, went on my first real "winter" bike ride today. Temps in the low 40's, it was great.
I was going to go snowboarding today at Brighton ski resort (they opened last week with a 61" base), but there was a 22 car pileup in the canyon, so that was a no-go.

LordOpie, Dnvrfx please check my house! How many inches did you get?
Maybe I don't want to move, I got almost 100 miles in this weekend. Temps. in the 70's on Saturday but 30 to 40 mph winds.
Moving day is 2 weeks from tomorrow! My ski gear is already packed!

Lakewood had over 4 feet of snow on the level and 9 foot drifts.
The town has been shut down and the only transportation is by mtn bikes with Nashbar's new studded snow tires. :D
Truly, I-70 east and westbound from Aurora east to the Kansas border has been shut down all day, with westbound just opening up about an hour ago. High winds blowing snow.
Also, I-25 was shut down most of the morning at Monument Hill, between the Springs and Castle Rock. I believe it is open now!

We hope you don't mind, but we used your house for a descent to a ramp. I strapped on some skis and practiced my jumps. Fox is a maniac on snowblades.
