I am just fed up with clicking on cycling video links and hearing "I want to ride my bicycle" - the lyric from Queen's worst ever hit song - the super-annoying 'Bicycle Race' - over and over and over again!
I'm considering starting a movement to ban this song for any cycling-related use. Am I the only cyclist who thinks this song is awful? And once you hear it, there's no getting rid of it - it sticks in one's brain and it just keeps going on and on! Surely there's a cycling song that would be better as cycling's unofficial 'anthem'. Heck, surely 'Daisy Bell' would be better.
And it's not as if I'm a Queen-hater - I love the band, but I cannot stand this song.
