General Cycling Discussion - depressed and waiting for the sun

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

here , Sunny days have a fleeting speed, like a camera shutter.
then it rains again, but the Grey is brighter, for more hours a day, now.

Put on a coat and go ride your bike.
Bright and sunny here!! :D Clear blue sky ... birds singing ... temps up to the mid-20s during the day. :)
But when winter comes, I try to get out in the sun whenever possible even if that is just a half-hour walk at lunch time. You might also try joining a spinning class, going to the local pool, and of course, getting out for rides on the weekend no matter what the weather.
In Canada, I found that 10 minutes of the tanning beds once or twice a week for a few weeks also helped.

Sometimes it's not easy finding empathy on these boards. :D
I share your feelings though. We just set the record for the wettest April ever, and they're still calling for more rain.
Today it's actually not raining, yet. Unfortunately the temperature shot from our recent cold 30's and 40's straight up to 80+!! When I opened the door to my back yard I walked right smack dab into a wall of hot, humid air. Off course everything is all wet and muddy and slimey.
I've grown so lazy and complacent waiting for decent (non-stormy) weather that I now have no ambition what-so-ever. My strength and stamina have suffered also. Just pulling some yard furniture out and putting the snow removal equipment away wore me right out.
I feel your pain.
