May be I searched the wrong places but I am looking to change bars for the stoker to drop bars. I can't find the drop bars with a 26mm diameter, they are all the 31. I would prefer not to change out the adjustable stem I have. Does anyone know where to find the drop bars that use the 26 mm stem. Thanks in advance

Nitto makes some and there may be of the Sette house brand bars on PricePoint.com. Velo-Orange also has some of their own house brand, but they seem to have a relatively long reach compared to most bars.

Harris shows the 25.4 mm Nittos.

Whether or not you go with ebay, the search for either 26 or 25.4 mm handlebar will give you the range of brands to check.

Width matters too...

Hi CoMO, I have some 40mm wide, Kestral carbon drop bars with a 25.4 diameter. Super light too! 170 grams! Very little use. maybe 2-3 rides on them. If you're interested, I'd be happy to give a fellow tandemer (is that a word?) a deal.

Just so you know, CoMotionRider, 25.4 and 26.0 bars are NOT directly interchangeable. Several suppliers make shims to MAKE them work, but the shims are often a PITA as well as ugly!

New bars are generally 31.8mm, but 26.0mm was pretty common just 5 years ago. Try your local bike shop, they are sure to have some hanging around.

I've just acquired a 26mm BBB "Fastbar" drop bar for Machka's new touring bike, so look for it in your searches on eBay, etc.

I picked up a set last night at the LBS. He had some old bikes in the back and just he just let me get the bars for almost free. I guess he figured I had spent enought money there in the past and he wants me to keep coming back. Thanks for all the help.
