Hey all, longtime lurker that just got around to building a new bike.
I'm using a 105 cassette and 105 hub, I put the cassette on with the correct spacers and in the correct order, greased up the threads on the lockring and started tightening it by hand. When I started tightening it using the cassette tool and a torque wrench, it would "crack" every so often and I would lose torque (a similar feeling to when you're loosening a bolt and it finally gives way). I did finally get it up to the appropriate torque, but it was kind of disconcerting especially since I was sure that everything was set. It seems to be all right now, but it makes a sort of low rubbing noise when spinning it counterclockwise. Pretty sure its not rubbing against the spokes.
I've replaced a few cassettes before and never had had an experience like this, so I just wanted to make sure everything was okay.
