I have a 1983/84 (not sure) road bike. It is white and yellow with guerciotti engraved on the seat and the engraved star at the bottom of the tube. The frame is 50-52 cm and is in great condition. There is a Columbus SLX sticker on the seat tube. Any one have an idea what its worth?

Push the build date up a few years, SLX was an answer to brazed on front derailleur mounts, so more likely 1986.
As a frame set $300 to $500. While a nice brand, not that sought after. You wrote bike but made no mention of components so I cannot offer much there. Pantographed parts will be worth more than plain.

SLX debuted in 1984 - the TSD catalog shows an SLX model for that year:

It's definitely the '84 catalog, per the text.

A dated catalog does help, thanks. I do remember in 1985 and 1986 working at a shop and the bikes with brazed on front derailleurs and not SLX tubing... the brazed on mount really moved around when shifted, it was a bit better with the cast mounts but the stamped ones were awful. For a time Campagnolo supplied a stamped mount to braze on with the front derailleur. We tossed those.

I have a Paolo Guerciotti Bicycle and need some help figuring out what I have. It is white, black and yellow with a yellow seat. It has the star on the bottom of the bottom bracket. It has the pump that mounts to the head tube. Shimano 105 throughout. Tuning up as we speak, but rides well as is. It appears to be a 1988 GL 105, Anthracite/White color. Looks cools and rides nice. Not sure if I want to keep it or sell it. Trying to understand value in good or better than average condition.

Hey BianchiGirl. Thanks for the advice I started a new thread. I attached this photo today. Does not show a ton of detail, but I will take some better pics with a camera instead of my phone and post them. Take Care.
