Hey everybody,

Well yesterday i was riding along and the pulley mech on my singulator exploded in the middle of the road.
Anyways, today i got a new one and a new chain. Now, it feels like it skips (as it would if the chain comes off, but it stays on) every once and a while and sometimes skips off the cog. It is much more pronounced when I jump on the pedals or start to ride. I thought it might have been my cog. Switched it to a diff style and happens exactly the same. Thought it was the chainline. I REALLY messed the chainline up and it rides exactly the same! There is a good amount of pressure on the chain from the singleator. The chain is a sram powerlink. I'm thinking I will try another one so I can be really baffled.
Any ideas?

sounds like the alignment of the pully wheel is off and it's applying lateral preasure on the chain.
adjust the axel of the pully from side to side until it doesn't skip

Well, older singulators would not work with 1/8" chains - do you have the right chain? Also, are you using it in the "push up" mode? 90% of the problems I see are from it being in the "push down" mode.

I killed my Singleator too a couple of months ago. Ended up just getting Surly track dropouts welded onto the frame instead.

Sometimes a new chain skips on old cogs. I had to replace my cog when I bought a new chain. Problem solved.

This may be too obvious now that quick-links are the norm, but you could have a stiff or tight link in the chain.

Or u could have a loose link that got a bit pulled when u put on ur new chain. As in one of the links on your new chain is loose
