OK, I am going to "get political," because this measure on the California ballot could compromise our safety on the roads. Touted as a "repair" or "fine tuning" of California's very strict "Three Strikes" mandatory sentencing law, Proposition 66 would expressly eliminate felony drunk driving as a "strike" basis. If you are fed up with lax sentencing for motorists who maim or kill, join me in voting NO on Prop. 66, even if you agree with some of its other objectives.
