We do have rules for such things listed in the forum guidelines (http://www.bikeforums.net/faq.php?faq=forum_guidelines).

Trevayne, we allow a bit of lattitude, and given the size of the site, we cannot constantly watch for violations. It would be an impossible expectation. That's why we have a report post function, the black triangle on every post or private message or Profile Message, on the lower left. My moderator staff are all voluinteers, they are not paid to run this site, and even if they were paid, they couldn't do a better job than they already are doing. Now, if you report a post, we may or may not agree as to whether it's a violation of either the letter or spirit of the guidelines. If we agree, we'll act, and if not, well..............we won't.
This is a US based site, with predominantly US membership, so the humor and communities dynamics are probably going to be centered more on US humor and culture, which doesn't always translate across to other cultures, like, for example, the Philippines. Sometimes US, or Australian humor for that matter, is confrontational and may seem aggressive. If this happens, it's not personal, it's sizing you up. Take it in good humor and learn the dynamic, and you get through the what is in essence, a Fraternity hazing for full membership. As you earn respect, or "Face", in the forums, you will be surprised to see some of these same people that are yanking your chain suddenly start defending you. ;) That means you earned their respect.
If we like you, we'll rank you, rip on you, tease you without mercy, and generally hope you'll join in as well, once you learn the ropes.
