I went to a local bike swap and picked up a sweet new commuter. It's not vintage but i have pictures!

Custom built Curtlo out of Withrop, WA.

Seems to have cyclocross geometry. Features True Temper OX Platinum steel tubing and a Winwood Carbon fork. Deore XT/XTR 9 speed drivetrain. Wheels are nothing special (Alex w/ tiagra hubs) but for a commuter i wont complain.

She has a wonderful ride to her. Excellent condition.

Paid $450 for her. I plan on selling my current commuter for $300.

That's a pretty good price for a custom with this tubing right?

I haven't adjusted the fenders or the saddle so don't judge me by the previous owners work ;)

Wow. That, my friend, is a score of epic proportions. Plus, it's orange. ORANGE!

Score, dude. The headest alone would bring nearly $100 used on ebay.

Wow.

That's the way to do it.

I'd really like to try a Curtlo.

I've heard only positive about his bikes.

Don't bother buying a lotto ticket this week - or next - you've used up your allotment of luck. Very nice. It looks like you can clear some high curbs with that BB height. That's some $150 upgrade!

Don't feel alone, my wife is always telling me I have to many bikes. Nice bike, Me I don't do the fender thing. Put some drop bars on it and ditch the fenders for some cross racing. Tell us the size, I'm guessing 52.

Thanks for the kind comments :)

I just sold my Allez for $350 so i'm only into it an extra $100.

She rides like a dream.

It looks like a 51 cm because of odd cyclocross geometry and sloping top tube. The top tube is 55 cm and the seat tube is 52cm. I typically ride a 55cm frame and it seems to fit perfectly. I might have to explore some interesting stem options if i were to convert her to a drop bar but for now it works great.
