Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hi folks you've probably heard this one before, but ive recently taken up cycling after not doing any for 15 yrs and can't believe some of their attitudes !!!!!! Some of them are as thick as .....!
I picked up my bike from the shop after being repaired and cycled home. When i was on the main road cycling from the correct distance from the kerb i got bibbed at a few times !!!!
Another time i was following a correct procedure in turning right across a busy main road when a car in th opposite direction started flashing his lights and bibbing !!!
unbelievable !!

Get used to it. After a while you just kind of tune it out, and learn to watch where the car's going instead of what the driver is screaming. When they honk and yell it won't hurt you, as long as they keep their distance.
Some drivers don't think bikes or motorcycles should be on the road -- just follow the rules of the road and be polite to others and most driver will appreciate that. I always give a wave or thumbs up if a driver waves me though. There is no accounting for the idiots on the road - they will be rude if your in a car or on a bike.

I get honked at almost every day, but practically every last one of the honkers gives me plenty of space. Keep tabs on 'em but ignore them.
