I'm looking to buy a "workhorse" bike to pull the tag-a-long and/or chariot trailer and have the option of rear rack with kids seat or the front mounted wee-ride.
I'd like a 29er hardtail with rigid front fork or 80mm suspension fork.
Curretly on my list:
Surly Karate Monkey
Trek Sawyer

Please add new bikes to my list. :)

Couple questions:
1. I'm about 6', so I'll ride a Large 29er. Will that be too big to fit the tag-a-long bike to the seatpost?
2. Can I run a rear disk brake and still use a rear rack and the chariot trailer?

thanks

Not sure about the disk Q... the tagalong can be mounted at the bottom of the seatpost, if you're worried, take your bike to your local shop and 'try one on' to see the height and angle. Be careful with seatposts, I have an older MTB that I use to drag my son along with. My other bike has a carbon post and that tagalong mount would destroy it.

I had an SE Stout that I reviewed on my bike (SE Stout Review (http://www.cyclingforbeginners.com/se-stout-riding-review/)), and I really loved it. If you're bargain hunting Performance Bike has it for $479 and Bikesdirect.com has the old version (about 2 pounds heavier) for $399.
