Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just happened to look at Performance Bike's website and saw they are having a "one day online only" 20% discount on a single item. I picked up a pair of PI P.R.O. In-R-Cool Bib Shorts, regularly $165, on sale for $130, with 20% off discount for $104.
They have lots of items on sale right now and the coupon code - 803 - will stack on top of the sale price.

Bibs / shorts, jerseys, gloves, chamois cream, new saddle, bar tape, Lezyne floor pump...they don't have anything you want?
Sure, I prefer my non-chain LBS but for some things I don't mind if I get them from Performance...and their local store actually has a nice and helpful staff.
I was thinking of getting a pair of their Scattante Ferraci road shoes until I realized they're $10 cheaper in the store here in town, and I wouldn't have to pay shipping. Those two extra costs together would have added up to more than the coupon savings.
I'll have to give this some more thought before bedtime. I might be able to come up with something. It could be about time to replace my old Avocet computer on the road bike - the contacts are intermittent at best.

Thanks, I ended up getting a CatEye wireless w/cadence - something I have been eyeballing for a couple of weeks, but my wife insisted it would be a birthday present (end of this month). She can't resist a sale - and I can't refuse an early birthday gift - so it was a win/win. Saved over $25 from the store here -$10 for shipping. I prefer to support my LBS all I can - but within the last month I have bought a new road bike, and all accessories + some Sidi shoes, so I don't feel too guilty for saving a few bucks.
In the end I couldn't make up my mind whether to spend or not, and what it would be if I did. So I made it successfully through another day without increasing this month's debt load.

It's a good thing I missed this thread yesterday or I would be the proud owner of a new set of forte/microshift shifters.
Dang it.
