Hey folks, I am visiting SF this summer (june or july) and i need some advice.

can anyone recommend a hotel? I don't need anything fancy, location is more important then the room or amenities.

secondly, is it possible to rent bikes with in Sf ? i am guessing it is, but does anyone have a preferred shop?

Don't know about the hotels, but the big bike rental place is Blazing Saddles. They mostly do hybrids for tourists who just want to go across the Golden Gate, but they also do have decent road bikes and mountain bikes. http://www.blazingsaddles.com/

Cheaper rates. You can get a 20% discount if you reserve online. The regular rate is already cheaper than Blazing Saddles so I think this is a good bargain. Right on the Wharf where all the action is. You can either walk there or take the trolley depending on where you are staying.
