Only saw one other bike older, a 70s Mercier. Some dudes were on fixies!

Well you've piqued my interest. How about some more details. What you riding there?

Oh, that's my '84 Cinelli, purchased by the insurance company when my '62 Carlton was stolen from my house. All Campagnolo NR, SR with a Brooks seat. A year or two ago I added the TA triplizer ring, the Rally cage to my NR and a 28 inner ring. And I use them!

Was part of the Wine Country Century put on by the Santa Rosa Cycling Club. 2,500 riders! There was a 200 metric, 100 miles, metric century and a 30 miler.

I'm 60 years old and still ride the stuff I rode in the 70s, just a lot slower!

Very nice. I too am 60 and the need for speed has been trumped by the desire to live to ride another day.

2500 riders and there was only one bike older than 1984, sad so sad.

I did a metric century last Saturday on my 87 Le Tour. I have modern components though...Tiagra group and a compact double crank

I try to use my 84 Centurion or my 88 Miyata on my paid organized Centuries. Fun to get people talk and get interested about the older bikes. On my last century, someone asked why I kept "reaching" down the down tube. "That's my shifters!" I said :)

That Cinelli is nice! So classic looking. Love it. My friend had the red colored version of that.

The metric I did last fall had quite a few C&V bikes that I saw - mid-80's Bianchis, Vitus 979, early 80's Univega mixte, my late 70's Peugeot. It was a lot of fun for me to see them all.

All those bikes, only two really cool guys.

You and the Mercier.

Ha, ha, the Mercier was being ridden by a GIRL! And she passed me...

Nice vintage ride Dbakl! I use my 1973 Fuji Finest for local Century rides. It is a very comfortable ride for long distances.
