Hello,
I found this tandem on ebay and was thinking about bidding on it and was wondering how much it is worth. I know it is worth a lot but do not like to pay too much. It has already met the reserve. Item number 2281378678. What do you think ? If I can get it I would like to some day get my money back out of it.
Thanks, Wrecksford

I saw a Schwinn tandem like this at a lbs in Greensboro, NC recently. They were asking $250.00 for it. The condition was decent and restorable. Heavy, heavy heavy bike. Not something I would care to ride. As a collector's item, it might have some value, but I do not know enough about that market to comment.

If you are a collector and want to tinker and not ride, a couple hundred bucks if it is in good shape.
For owning/riding . . . a waste of $$.

I've got a Schwinn Tandemn DeLuxe in my garage. Been considering restoring the sucker for years. (My neighbor gave it to me when her husband died).

I've had it for over 20 years, and it was old when she gave it to me.

$100 and it's yours! You just have to come and get it!

They're fun bikes for cruising around. My first tandem ride was on a similar bike - a bunch of us in our 20s went up to Door County, WI and rented tandems for a couple hours of cruising around a state park. We had a blast. If you want to do occasional leisure riding it could be a lot of fun. For regular exercise/training riding I'd look for something else.
