recently i bought a cannondale q6 so i can commute to work. i bought a spare tube which was 700 x 23 - 25C/27 x 1. couple of days ago i got a flat so i used this tube and it works fine.
since i don't have a spare, i went to the bike shop where i got the bike from and the guy that helped me knew what bike i had since he sold it to me and got me a couple of spare tubes. this time he gave me 700 x 35 - 45C / 27 x 1 3/8 - 1 3/4. will this still work?
What's the size of your tyres?
Did you try to patch the tube that got punctured? No reason to throw away a perfectly good tube just because it's got a small hole in it.

it says 700 x 35c
and yeah i'm keeping the tube to either patch it up or take it to this shop this weekend which is having a grand opening and they are giving $5 cash card for old tubes.

The wide tube is a slightly better match for your tires than the narrower one, but either should be fine.

Agreed, though I'd avoid using the narrower patched one in those tyres unless it was my last option.
