Does anyone know where to buy a cruiser frame? Everywhere I keep looking I keep finding either fully built bikes or chopped bikes. All I want is a classic beach cruiser frame.

On the lowrider sites, you can buy a painted (maybe?) or bare steel (definitey) cruiser frame only. I don't know about the quality, but they are pretty cheap! I've seen other suppliers ... just do a web search for lowrider.

Let me chime in also.... any ideas for a womens's cruiser frame, that has a place for a derailler hanger...... I just noticed a crack in the headtube of my wifes electra.

Seems like it would be a fun project to find a dilapidated old cruiser, strip it, paint it and then and build it up with new parts. Probably the most cost effective route too.

If I don't come across the right vintage Brit bike pretty soon, I'm planning to do exactly this with a pair of '64 Schwinns, one King Size frame and one regular. I figure they will make the queen and I a neat pair of around-towners with some new paint and internally-geared hubs.

This is exactly what im planning on doing. I wanted to get a custom built frame but for everything I want down they want 8500 USE plus 900 USE for the fork so... yea that's just not going to happen
