So I came across an older American Eagle about a year ago.. I seriously can not find out anything about this bike besides that it's from around 70-71 from the bicycle license it has on it.

I have pictures here, and if this doesn't work, just let me know and I'll post them in here.

Any information you guys could give me on this thing would be AMAZING! Also, feel free to e-mail me about it as well: thebeerholder@hotmail.com

Cheers,
Jim

American Eagle was the forerunner to Nishiki in the USA, imported by the late West Coast Cycle Supply. I saw a few of them in the 60's, they were very basic at the time, kind of like a lugged Schwinn Varsity w/o the abuse margin. The Brand did better when they were willing to admit their Japanese roots.

Yeah, I know about the name change and everything. I'm mainly just trying to figure out WHICH American Eagle it is, or how much it would be worth... Kind of in need of money right now and I think I'd rather try to sell that than my Raleigh Technium right now haha.

There will not be a market for THAT bike, there will be a market for a bike like it that functions. Enough for beer probably, but no silver mine.

Why is that?

$25 to $50 depending on your local market. Bottom end imported 3 speed, from an unpopular brand.

Clean it up really well, make sure everything runs perfect, and maybe $100.
