Look like crap gas pipers... if the Kent has a better cro mo frame might be worth it but it doesn't look like it.
^Ditto. I tried looking in your local craigslist but....seems like slim pickings...
Junkers.
There is a really good deal on a Trek 470. $230 for a brifter bike. Will not last long. Yes, I know that is more money, but at the $100 price point, you are going to find junkers, unless you look really aggressively (look past C/L, pounce on deals, etc).

$20 garage sale bikes that you will not enjoying riding. At $20 each they might make OK campus bikes.

Yeah I technically have a budget of zero cause I already have an around town bike I'm working on, but I figured if I saw a really good deal I might be inclined to pick it up. There's also a Raleigh fixed with a flip flop hub for 150 obo.

If you aren't looking for a really good bike and have a low budget go to some garage sales.... from my experience that is the cheapest and fastest way to get a bike that is decent if you aren't picky.
