I'm in the process of resurrecting my Yo and converting it over to a SS. I beleive it is a '99 and was made by Serotta in Saratoga NY (Saphire Blue). My understanding is that post '97 frames were designed for 2.5" of travel and the fork currently on the bike is a Rock Shox SID XC with 80mm of travel. The axle to crown on the SID is 460 mm but I'm not sure how to correct for the sag on the suspension and was hoping someone knows the correct / recommended A to C length prescribed by Fat.
My current plan is to use a Kona P2 which is 440 mm A to C but I would like to maintain the correct geometry as best I can.
BTW - this is my second Yo with my 1st being purchased at Belmont Wheelworks in Watertown Massachusetts (just down the road from Fat City at the time). Frame was quad butted in Cosmic Dust Fade. Rode it into the ground with the bottom of the seat tube eventually rusting out. Perhaps the best MTB I have ever owned. Still have the original card that came with the frame signed by the crew that built it.
