Thanks. I know I am a poser wannabe, but it is important to understand that in all the recent videos that I have made, i do not have a fancy helmet or bar mounted camera. I am riding with one hand:eek: I have ridden that same trail 3 times since without the camera and I all but fly. I swear I think it is easier to ride "no hands" then "one hand"

Dude, seriously, duct tape your camera to your helmet if you have to... LOL! Crashing sucks, and that ride on the other side of the guard rail looked pretty scary from our perspective... :)

I crashed on teh mtb last year. Separated my shoulder.:eek:. I was doing 25 approaching a turn when I tapped the fornt brakes. They locked up and I flipped. TOtaly my fault caue I adjusted the brakes tighter the night before and forgot!:D

I don't like moutned cams cause you can't pan. What I do now on a ride that I think might involve some tricky terrain MTB dh/roadie descent at 40 mph), I use a neck lanyard ($5)

I crashed cause I was trying to put the recorder back into my jersey pocket before the turn, I lost the race.:p

I continue to use one hand but in a sticky situation, I don't have to reach for a pocket, I just drop it around my neck. :thumb:

MLKATO: Yes, this is part of the original Trail of Tears where Indians were forced to migrate from the S.E. U.S to Oklahoma reservation land. This is one of the areas that was most tragic in relation to loss from starvation and freezing. (wow, that was a buzz kill:(

ERWIN8r: Unfortunately, this ain't my first rodeo. I am no strange to crashing. Besides my infamous Clipless fall off of an 8 ft. bridge into rocks and ice that broke two ribs........ late last summer, I had a 20 mph moment of separation from my bike that resulted in a cracked clavicle and a broken middle right finger (I use that one a lot:innocent:
As for the other side of the guard rail, that is practice for a ride that I flaked out on last year. There is a trail in the Mountains of NC that involves a 1/4 mile of rock ledge (about 8ft wide) that feels like a tight rope, that drops almost straight off, 100 ft into a lake. I have ridden that guard rail 15 times in the past month and it now feels like a MUP:thumb:

Beanz: I remember when you and your shoulder had a separation:cry: Those things feel like they will never heal. I am seriously considering a Contour GPS HD camera that I can helmet mount. A lot of $$, but life is short, and think how much my C&A friends would appreciate good quality video clips:)

Ok,thanks. My parents like in Oklahoma and a church camp is outside Tallequah and I have been in Cherokee,NC. A long trip and a sad story.

I spent some time in a Tahlequah a few years ago paddling the Illinois River. I even had pizza at Sam-n-Ellas Chicken Palace (which is really funny if you think about it) :lol:

btw....where are you in NW ARK? I have spent extensive time running whitewater in your neck of the woods.

Ouch! I did something similar (and have the pictures to prove it...) but I was on my XR650R--and I bailed! Poor bike... :) LOL!!
