Does anyone know the title of this piece? I seem to think it was rather well known and that a number of print copies were available. I've photographed the signature, but can't really read it. Anyone know their Bicycle Art History?
Thanks.

Looks a lot like this - http://montagueprojectsblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/daily-book-graphics-142-bicycle.html
Maybe similar to this? - http://bicyclespecialties.blogspot.com/2010/02/greg-curnoe-and-his-mariposas.html
I know nothing about the title. Might not be either of these two.
That's all I got, surprised I had that much to be honest.

Looks like it is Greg Curnoe. The signature matches.
In fact here is the bike that very piece of art is based on! http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/article/767714--greg-curnoe-shrine-cycles-through-coffee-shop

Utterly cool. My many thanks for this.
A friend of mine has inherited this original work. It was purchased in Canada (they're Canucks), but it with the parents in their Dorset, England, home for many years. Now it's in Bangkok. This will help him fill in a few blanks. He's not parting with it, but just didn't know that much about it.
Again, Big Thanks. (love that sig line, too!)

Wow, the original? I have the repro on my wall. Its called the CCM Pro Lite Flyer ...the upper left corner is filled with hand written details about the construction and components.

Yeah, this is the original. All those details are written in graphite (pencil), as is the signature. My pal is going to have it remounted, as there's a bit of damage to be sorted around one corner. You can even see where the artist (Greg) made small corrections as he worked. It's really such a cool piece of work.
Thanks for the title, too.

Sorry...exact spelling on the print reads C.C.M. PROLITE FLYER.

Forgive the quality of these photos. Just a little p&s camera, and taken in a very poorly lit office space in an old carriage house behind the main house. Here's some of what's written in pencil along the side:

It is not currently in an elegant setting, but once re-framed it will be better displayed.

That's incredible! Your friend is a lucky person! Thanks for posting the writing. I was curious about what it said. It is a beautiful piece of art work and I am glad to hear your friend is going have it preserved and remounted. I am also glad to find out about this artist as I knew nothing about him prior to your posting here.
