Damn it sucks. One would think they would learn after a few years of doing this. None of the break away starts were covered, none of the KOM were covered, there are more advertisements then actual coverage.

Welcome to the United States of America.

Euro coverage of races is so much better.

I find the shacktracker coverage pretty good. And it's live!

Do you have any tricks for getting that thing to work? Always hangs for me.

Unfortunately it's all Adobe Flash content, and Flash is known to be 'quirky' on a lot of platforms as well as completely unsupported on Apple's iDevices.

I've given up on TOC vids, it's not worth it to waste a ride day searching for decent coverage, seems to be getting worse every year. That shacktracer doesn't work for me either.

I think the coverage has been fine. I've been watching the live amgen tracker then going home and watching it again on the DVR. I love this time of the year.

Obviously, they can't make everyone happy.

I have no problems on my MacBook Pro. I have a fast cable connection, so that might help.

I suppose these are the same footage, Phil and Paul included, as the TV coverage minus the commercials. There are actually some commercials but they are extremely short.

And WCP doesn't even bother releasing a DVD of it either. :(

Shacktracker works, but they only pick up the action during the last two hours of the race. But when they do cover it live, it's great. I'm even able to get it to work on my DroidX. I haven't tried it on ipad, but I would expect it would fail, since it doesn't support flash (like 90% of the sites out there). But it works fine on my minimac, Win XP, Win 7, and I also heard it works great on iPhone.

Oh, and with Shacktracker, there are no commercials.

Not yesterday but on stage 3 I kept seeing popups of an ad with Lance saying something. Don't remember cause I've gotten pretty good at tuning ads out. But it was right in the middle of exciting things, and then all of a sudden there's Lance's face where there should be two guys sprinting, and the announcers are muted, and argh. I don't think it happened yesterday (and no Internet for most of today so I missed today's stage).

those nice Rapha videos before coverage starts

I've come think of those as little bike bromances. NTTAWWT.

The shacktracker looks nice, except I don't think my manager would appreciate me watching it while at work.

I was watching the one hour show at 9pm, will see what the longer show at 5 is like.

The tracker works on Ipad but you have to pay for an AP :(

Very upset with the coverage of the race. The race is virtually blacked out from beginning til 1:45pm every stage, not a great way to cover a world class racing event with hopes of expanding the event. Why is this so? Is this a deal between Versus/Radioshack Tracker? The video coverage is obviously there, since watching the highlight reels reveals the break away points and other notable KOM's/Sprints that don't occur on either the live TV coverage or Shack Tracker.

They need to fix this, the Radio Shack Tracker chat is chalk full of people with no live video feed, people tuning in from all over Europe as well.

Am I reading the Versus programming guide that the Saturday coverage does not start until 4pm?

No live coverage of the Baldy finish? Any other options?

Well Live coverage at least today wasn't bad. At least they covered women TT. Was glad to see Amber place second. Still wish I could have taken a photo of her riding a scooter in tt helmet and world tt champion jersey after she wont it few years back.

I'm upset too. It's too bad. I thought the people that are involved with the Tour de France also are involved with filming this race and you always get to see the TDF from start to finish. I've been watching the Giro on Universal Sports on the web site and the coverage is always beginning to end every day which makes for exciting racing.

I think the TdF motoguys are the guys filming this race, but VS/Universal chooses to show whatever in this market. I wonder if other markets get start to finish coverage of AToC?

Personally I'm really enjoying that Horner is race leader. Finally, someone who can speak intelligently and dissect what's going on in a race.:thumb:

I could be mistaken, but weren't ToC's of years passed covered from beginning to end online? I have a terrible memory but I can swear I remember watching the entire stage online last year.

#Giro... Very good coverage online, not up to par with Shacktracker Quality/Stats/Profile etc, but it shows the majority of the race. Gazetta.it does not show "every" stage in its entirety.

I believe that is true. Just the last couple of years that they started covering only the last couple of hours of each stage.

Yes, they used to cover the whole race but image quality was poor and sporadic. This year image quality was really good. They had a plane following the race that was like a hub receiving feeds from bikes and helicopters. The guys operating it where the same who work on the TdF.
