I'm putting in an order at Performance to get some cooler weather riding gear for myself and my brother, as is common this time of year, AND, this time, for my wife too (another convert!). For cooler temps (not really cold mind you), I've found the men's version of these gloves (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=19212&subcategory_ID=1241) to suit me quite well. My wife has tried them on and likes them well enough. However, there's no sizing info online for the "women's" variety in the link. Can anybody help out here? Is there a difference between the men's and women's varieties? TIA.

When I get men's gloves, I usually go for a medium.

You've got big hands, there, KB. I wear men's medium, and I can do a tenth on a piano (barely).

Well, I like to have a little wiggle room so I can put some liners in those gloves too. That'll help keep my hands toasty warm.

Women's sizes tend to have narrow palms as well as shorter fingers. I have squarish palms but short, narrow fingers, so I'm often stuck between women's gloves that are too tight in the palm or men's gloves with too-big fingers. It's hard to tell without trying them on. But if your wife has narrow hands she may prefer the women's sizing, and if they are wider or she has even average-long fingers, a men's small might be fine. Sorry I don't know those particular gloves. The ones that fit me perfectly (for comparison: circumference of my hand w/o thumb is just over 8", length from wrist to tip of middle finger is 7", ring size is 5 or 6) are women's large EMS gloves made w/ Scholler (sp?) fabric, they're warm and thin, perfect for cycling in cold weather -- darn, I just checked their website and they don't have the ones I have listed, but they have a variety here (http://http://www.ems.com/navigation/subcategory.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302854035&fromTemplate=navigation%2Fsubcategory.jsp&bmUID=1099758358950). Good luck with whatever you choose.

No experience with these gloves, but I agree w/ Koffee, wiggle room is key. Especially if your wife has any circulation issues...which is my problem, thanks to genetics. I've taken to wearing some old ski gloves which have a lot more room to keep the fingers moving a bit on the really cold days. On those days the nice Izumis that I thought would be the ultimate solution for cold weather riding stay stashed at home.

Found a size chart in the catalog, and out came the tape measure. Women's medium looks about right. Thanks for the input guys and gals! Now to post one about the jacket I want...
