I have a number of bikes with very stiff Right Brifter shifting. (Oddly it seems particular to the Campy-equipped units, even those with Record and Chorus. Anything that would make it maker specific?)
You really have to lean on the lever to shift it up.
This I understand should not be, especially with higher end Campy.
Question: To replace the hidden cable housing, I would have to re-bar wrap each bike. That is an exercise I would like to avoid unless necessary.
Should I just bite the bullet and assume that there is no point in replacing the cable in the old housing?
Do people generally replace both at once? or should a cable replacement only improve things?
(of course I can do one and see the result for myself but I thought I would ask.)
