This chainring has been on the bike since a got it a few years ago. I put a lot of miles on it and there are no problems really. I have a brand new one and when I compared the teeth, they look a bit thinner when looked from the side. Also, the new one seems to tighten the chain slightly when it's on. Like it has an extra tooth (they are both 52). I guess that shows that's it's got a bit of wear. I don't mind that, except that maybe it could wear the chain quicker if it's a bit worn.

It looks fine. I might take a fine file to the burrs on the small chainring, but both have many more miles in them.

It looks like a worn out chain has turned your big ring into sharks teeth.

At one time I didn't care much for chain wear and the other side of the chain ring looks more worn than the other. Since I turned the chain ring over. I guess there are still some miles left on the current side.
