Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Meh.
LA will just make some generous donations to the Italian PD next year.

Can you imagine the furor if American Police searched European team motel/hotel rooms? Can you imagine the crap we would get? But, of course nothing will be said by the media.....as usual.
As usual Europeans are EXPECTED to cheat and Americans could never be allowed to do such.
-Eastern European weight lifters cheated for decades.
-European Teams in the ISDE(long-distance dirt bike race) cheat all the time.
But just dare Americans to THINK about cheating.
Sorry, but I've had it to here with this European bull ****!

I think your brush is a bit too broad for this task. The Italian police (and prosecutors) are really in a league of their own. It's a bush league, but thankfully no one else is playing there (although Great Britain comes close at times). I think it has something to do with their recent history of dysfunctional governments which resulted in inadequate oversight of law enforcement personnel.

Got a kick from Eki's quote, "By the time I came I (found) everyone healthy and without problems, so I guess nothing happened," Ekimov said. "I cannot comment on things that I didn't see." Perhaps a slight dig at the Polizia? Love that guy. I was sad when he decided to retire, (from active racing).

Wow, that's amazing! I never knew that Radio Shack had gone into the Hotel business.
Do they try to make you sign up for cell phone service as soon as you walk in the door?
(Sorry, just couldn't resist..)

They're butt holes & they know it. I've dealt with them before, yes, Italian business leaders. They are who ordered this.
While he said it in reference to the issue of marital fidelity, I like the comedian Ron White's line: "You can't get caught if you don't cheat."
When a pro team races at these levels they know they are signing on to random searches.

You don't have to sign up, but they leave a catalog on your pillow.
