General Cycling Discussion - bifocal for cue sheets and computer (stick on or saftey glasses)

I didn't know where to post this so Im here In "General"

I have several events in the near future that will require using cue sheets and paying attention to my computer.

1) Ive used the stick reading lens and they seem to work fine I have them on my driving glasses

2) I have a very nice pair of sport sunglasses with 3 lens polarized grey, clear, and mirror coated amber. I'm thinking I could put stick on on this set???

or purchase 2 pairs of Bifocal saftey glasses one dark and one amber or rose for overcast conditions.

price wise it would be similar though im sure the set I have already have better optic quality.:commute:

Hook up with a rider that can see without glasses and stay with them.

I use the stick-ons with my sunglasses. Actually I only use one stick-on, on the right lens. It works fine for me.

I would get the safety glasses with the built in diopter. We have tried using the stick on ones at work with limited success, but that is in an industrial setting. I like the idea of of the safety glasses they aren't all that expensive if you happen to lose a pair. FWIW I wear glasses with corrective lenses and bifocals :P

My wife tried the stick-on reading inserts. They lasted 30 minutes before falling off.

She's been very happy with bifocal-equipped safety glasses though, has a dark pair & a clear pair.

I applied stick ons to the Safety glasses I got 30 years ago while working at the Shipyard.

I have them on a sunglasses keeper thing while not needing them .

but close at hand ..

Thanks for the input, I ordered 2 pair of glasses from your link above one pair brown (I like brown better than grey), one pair yellow. I tried a stick- on lens from my "glass" fishing glasses and stuck it on my riding sunglasses they just don't work as well as the bifocal saftey glasses (WE have clear bifocals at work).

so looks like my riding glasses will find a home in the kayak as I dont need to read in the boat.

My everyday progressive addition glasses don't keep wind/bugs out of my eyes at speed. Luckily, my vision deficit is primarily close focus ---> have been wearing cheap bifocal safety glasses from safetyglassesusa.com for 2-3 years now whenever I ride. Clear ones at night.
