A bike shop nearby had a huge moving sale a couple of weeks ago and I scored some major deals on bike stuff including a pair of Zefal toe clips (strapless). I'm a newer cyclist and figured I'd give 'em a try. They're much better than having nothing on the pedals at all.

Does anyone else have experience with these? How do these compare with clips/straps? I realize that clipless is the 'way to go', but I don't feel quite ready for that yet.

They won't hold your feet as tight as straps will, but they work fairly well. They're easy to get out of; they keep your feet from slipping off the pedals; they're better, by far, than plain pedals. I have them on one of my old bikes that I use to cruise the neighborhood.
