Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Wore a full "kit" today for the first time

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Mostly on a whim, because it was a handmedown that just started fitting. Before that its always been plain single color Garneau shirts and shorts (no bibs). While I did feel a bit like a poseur with all those ads all over my body, I have to say I really loved the bibs. I actually wore a windbreaker because I'm a wimp and it was cold to me, so hard to say how the shirt was (other than soaked under the jacket...maybe it was modesty and wimpiness...).
Overall, I liked it. I think these bib things have something to them. I have an cheap pair of Casteli cycling shorts that are now (thankfully) too big and roll down all the time and make me crazy.
Anyway, that's it. I had to share with someone.:D

Wearing different clothes because you are getting smaller must feel real good!
Way to go!

I'll get the ball rollin' with the pix. Here's me (in my team kit) at the Seattle Tour de Cure ride over the weekend.

Is that a fixie? I applaud anybody who's gonna ride that for 100 miles.

That's only going to be useful if you are anorexic.

For sure. It didn't fit for the first year I had it. We changed diet and intake tremendously, and its surely been a great change.

Yeah, a full ad-laden kit, something I've not ever worn before. Aside from feeling like a NASCAR driver, I was really happy with the overall design of the clothing..jersey and bib. They are Giordana, for whatever that is worth.

That one is a singlespeed (my monstercross racer) but I do have a flip/flop with a fixed cog on it. I only rode the 45 mile course plus the 7 or so miles to get there in the morning, but in years previous I've done the century course on a 44/18 fixed gear. I didn't have much fun with it since there are some steep downhills on the course; I really prefer the singlespeed.
