hey, all:
i've got a carbon frame on the way to me, and while i've dealt with plenty of carbon on road bikes i've not dealt with a carbon frame for a MTB.

this bike has a press fit bb. i'm also going to install an angleset.

with aluminum, i'd make sure the bb cups and headset cups had a healthy amount of grease. is there any difference in pressing these cups into a carbon frame vs aluminum?

on my road bikes due to the particular bbs and headsets, i've not had to press them into the frame.

thanks!

Carbon cracks if not kept or worked on correctly.

I advise you to buy a torque wrench and watch the amount of torque you put on the bolts that will compress the carbon fiber.

If you do not do this, the resin can chip and later break.

I would also stay away from more dangerous or hard activities like drops, jumps, DH, and some rock scrambling

thanks--i'm very familiar with working on carbon parts and i both own a torque wrench AND know how to use it. (the two do not go hand in hand.)

my question pertains only to inserting aluminum or plastic parts (headset and pressfit bb) into the frame -- to grease or not to grease. i assume the former.
