Touring - Some great mountaineering-cycling stories

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The current top dog bike touring/mountaineering hard man, presently, is a fella I knew years ago, Erden Eruc.

Erden in currently in a decade long Around-n-over adventure around the world, climbing peaks by human power. he rode his bike from seattle to Denali with his gear (no small feat in itself!) climbed Denali, and returned to Seattle by bike. he is now out on more exciting legs of his adventure.

Around and over, a human powered adventure (http://www.around-n-over.org/)

Erden was a Seattle friend of Goran Kropp, with him climbing the day of his fall, and inspired by Goran to follow in his wheel tracks to ride and row and go by human power to some of the highest summits in the world.
