I am looking to get the X2 road stem (wanting a 17degree) and I will have to get a shim to fit the bars. I have the x4 now with a shim and it fits perfectly width-wise.

Looking at the face plate, the x4 seems wider than the x2. is the x2 narrower and if that is the case, do they make narrower shims?

also, any other black -/+17 threadless stem suggestions? Have the RB010AA bars on the way with a 25.4 clamp area.
