i have cut my complex carbs and simple as well....lowered my overall caloric intake to that of a small child at times, and have been riding fixed gear...which i must add makes 30 - 40 mile trainning rides feel like a century...
i have lost several inches around my waist, gained on my back & chest and arms are now filling up the sleeves again, and my legs seem to be growing each and everyday, and the fat is simply beginning to melt away....
my problem......
i have gained 15 lbs
my question, i can remember when i used to lift weights that my body made changes when using a 20 rep or to failure squat routine, and am wondering is the same going on with my body with the isolation that fixed gear riding provides to the legs, something i did not notice while i was still riding my geared roadbike..
is this possible.....
thoughts....

I forget exactly, but muscle weighs like 4 times what fat does....

i have gained 15 lbs . . . And gaining 15 Lbs of lean body weight, packing on muscle tissue on your arms chest and back while melting fat away and losing several inches from your waist is a problem how?
Are you sure you have your priorities in order?
I think my next bicycle purchase will be a fixed gear! ;)

Exactly. It's not about how much you weigh. It's about how good you feel and how healthy you are.

ok, so you guys caught me, its not exactly a problem, but more of a wtf...i have not been on the scale, but more so made adjustments in my diet, based upon how much energy or lack of energy i was feeling...
also i had been stretching more so than usual, and was about to add a moderate weighlifting routine of some sort...which was why i weighed myself in the first place...to kind of see where i was at....i was just shocked by my increase, even though i felt that if there was a weigh loss it was going to be mostly water....
