Scored this cool 54cm Andy Gilmour today. Has Matrix rims with Dura Ace hubs, Campagnolo Brev. Int group, Cinelli stem and Cinelli bars.

Has a couple scrapes here and there. Anyone know if there's a way to date the frame?

I'm guessing late 80's by the components.

Nice bike op.

He builds some pretty frames, no doubt.

Here's one from his site I liked.

All of these good looking orange bikes showing up today are driving me crazy.

That's such a cool Gilmour!

So many great American builders, it is hard to know where to start.

As for the "orange" bike, sneak it in bit by bit.

Then, let us have it.

Worked for Aaron. :)

Yeah, but you know...there's something to be said for asking for an Italian bike while you're IN Italy on the honeymoon you brought your wife on right?

"Honey bunches, since we aaaaAAAAaaare in Italy...." :)

Can you post a close-up of that forkcrown?^
It looks sort of like a "reverse 3 Rensho": back-set instead of forward-set.

Man...sorry I derailed your thread hzqw2l...I assume you're referring to my Gilmour unworthy1...

Those are Columbus Air fork blades...not sure on the crown...I'll snap a pic when I get a chance.

Looks like the standard Columbus Air fork crown:

I just sold a bike with a similar fork.

I guess it is, I had only seen an "AIR" before on a Tomassini, and it was not exactly like this shown. So I understand the theory of why Yoshi Konno offset his blades to the front (to allow straighter blades while maintaining same trail), but what does this "opposite" off-set achieve?

Looks fast maybe? Good wind tunnel numbers? No idea.
